A.T. Kearney's commitment to the community

Corporate Social Responsibility

Values

We are committed to building a responsible business that gives back to and supports the community in which we live and work.

We believe that a business that contributes to the community has more well-rounded, motivated staff.

We believe that community involvement can come in multiple forms, all of which provide value to the community and our staff—from individual charity activities to pro bono consulting support.

We believe that these activities, amongst others, give our employees the opportunity to develop a diverse range of skills that are transferable to their client work. These include mentoring, coaching, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Contribution

We contribute to the community by:

  • Giving our time – by participating in a variety of activities within the community; and
  • Offering our consulting expertise – to help charities and non-profit organisations in our community.

Our participation in activities within the community includes Annual Charity Day events at local schools, playgrounds, etc. Teams of A.T. Kearney staff spend a day out of the office, to build, paint, clean, or otherwise support a community organisation to develop a better environment for kids in underprivileged areas.

Our pro-bono consulting work has included the following:

  • Conducting a cost-reduction initiative for one of the UK's leading learning disability charities
  • Seconding a consultant to the Commission for Africa, forming part of the policy and research team as well as facilitating the links between African organisations and the Commission
  • Conducting research for United Nations ICT Taskforce on eLearning to assess benefits and the social, economic and political impact of eLearning on countries and societies
  • The values and activities mentioned above reflect our goal of being recognised both by our own employees and externally as a socially responsible company by integrating social, environmental, and economic concerns into our values, culture, operations, and business decisions at all levels of the organisation.
