A.T. Kearney's commitment to the Environment'
|
We are committed to integrating environmental best practices into all of our business activities. We are implementing this commitment through a programme of continuous improvement throughout all of our operations.
This means that:
- We conduct our activities in full knowledge of and compliance with environmental regulations.
- We integrate environmental considerations and objectives into all our business decisions.
- We minimise consumption of natural resources and wastage of materials as far as economically practicable.
- We encourage awareness and commitment to improved environmental performance amongst our people, our suppliers and our clients.
- We encourage our clients to think about how their businesses affect the environment, and throughout our business, will provide professional advice that is consistent with this aim.
- We monitor and review our objectives and targets to ensure they remain appropriate and achievable.
Application of the Environmental Policy to Business Operations
We have a range of direct and indirect environmental impacts associated with our operations, services and supply chains. Currently our focus is on the following key issues:
- Energy Consumption: Our aim is to reduce energy consumption and associated CO2 emissions. We have recently refurbished our offices and have targeted a 45% reduction in electricity consumption over a two-year period through implementation of energy efficiency measures. We have achieved a 20% reduction to date.
- Waste: All staff are expected to dispose of their waste in a responsible manner according to the firm’s policy, and to use recycling facilities where appropriate.
- Paper: We recognise that the production of documents is necessary for delivery of consulting services to our clients, but are committed to investigating ways of further reducing the quantity of paper used. We aim to reduce consumption of paper by 10% over the next three years.
- Travel: The A.T. Kearney Ltd management team is continuously encouraging and introducing measures to reduce air travel and mitigate the impact associated with air travel.
